John has served as a Peace Officer for 24 years in the positions of Police Officer, Deputy Sheriff, and Welfare Fraud Investigator. He is currently the Chief Investigator for the Mendocino County Health and Human Services Welfare Fraud Unit.
John has been a member of CWFIA since 1994, previously serving as Zone IV Director, as well as in his position as Secretary. John has held the positions of CWFIA Treasurer, Secretary, and Vice President. In January 2022, John became CWFIA's current President
Randy has been a sworn peace officer for 38 years. He has worked as a Deputy Sheriff, and a Captain/Assistant Police Chief for the UC system. For the past 21 years, he has worked for the Santa Cruz County Human Services Department and was their Chief Investigator. Randy recently retired from Santa Cruz HS.
Randy has been a member of the CWFIA for the past 21 years and has held the positions of Director at Large, Treasurer, and Secretary. He now serves as CWFIA's current Vice President.
Shawn has served as a Peace Officer for 31 years with the State of California as a Detective, Sergeant, Captain, Assistant Chief and Chief. He was appointed the Chief Investigator for the Riverside County Department of Social Services, Special Investigations Unit in 2016.
Shawn has been a member of CWFIA since 2016, previously serving as Zone II Director, as well as a Member at Large. Shawn is CWFIA's current Secretary.
Senior Investigator Heather Tallent has been a peace officer since 1999, serving as a reserve deputy/police officer for the Simi Valley Police Department and an Investigator for the Ventura County District Attorney's Office. She has experience in investigating gang crimes, sexual assaults, homicides, officer involved shootings, real estate fraud, and welfare fraud. Heather has supervised the Government Fraud Unit for the Ventura County DA’s Office since 2020. She is also the CWFIA treasurer.
Since 2016, Nick has worked for the San Bernardino County Human Services Program Integrity Division as a Welfare Fraud Investigator. Prior to his time in Welfare Fraud, he was a Patrol Deputy with the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.
Nick joined CWFIA as a member in 2017. He is currently a member of the CWFIA Board of Directors and serves as the association’s Business Manager.
Guy has worked as a Fraud Investigator and a Supervising Investigator for Tulare County District Attorney’s Welfare Fraud Unit for 16 years. Guy then accepted a position with the Tulare County Health and Human Services Agency as an Administrative Specialist where his focus was Program Integrity and Fraud Training Projects.
Guy has been a member of CWFIA since 1997 and had been a Board Member, Vice President, and President. Guy is now serving as CWFIA's Immediate Past President.
