With CWFIA membership, you join a much larger community. You join a community that not only shares thoughts and concerns regarding the importance of program integrity in public assistance programs, but one that takes action. A community that believes that in networking, sharing information, education and hard work, we can make a difference in the battle against Welfare Fraud.

As an additional benefit of membership, you will gain access to our “Members Only” section of this website where you will find information and updates on important legislation, a Special Investigations Unit Directory (by county and/or state department in California), job announcements, CWFIA Bylaws, access to the CWFIA Member’s Forum to network and communicate with other members, training opportunities, and access to the CWFIA Intercom newsletter. Membership also includes a special discounted rate on our annual conference registration fees.

TYPES OF Membership / Price List

Active Membership

$ 50.00

All persons actively employed in the State of California whose primary job function is prevention, investigation, prosecution, support or the administration of Public Assistance Fraud Programs and are employees of Federal, State, County or Local government. All persons acting in an Ex-Officio capacity is considered an Active Member and shall pay the Annual Dues of the Corporation.

Associate Membership

$ 35.00

Persons who actively support the ideals of CWFIA, and do not meet the criteria of Active or Life membership may be eligible to become associate members of CWFIA.

This may include persons whose primary job function is the prevention, investigation, prosecution, support or Administration of Public Assistance Fraud Programs outside the State of California.

Non-government associated applicants requires approval from the Board of Directors. Associate members shall not have voting privileges.

Life Membership

Free

Upon application, current members of the Association who have been active members in CWFIA for ten or more consecutive years, upon separation from employment, shall be granted life membership.

Life Members shall have all rights of membership, including serving as an officer or an ex-officio director, except they are not eligible to vote in elections or to be elected as a zone director of the Corporation.

Life Members are not required to pay dues.
